WIVO BALL CHECK VALVE APPLICATIONS:

• Pump Outlet Protection: Prevents backflow of media from damaging the impeller when the pump is stopped.

• Compressor Piping: Maintains unidirectional gas flow.

• Water Supply System: Prevents backflow contamination in the pipeline network (DVGW certification is required to meet drinking water standards).

WIVO BALL CHECK VALVES Features

Operating Principle

A free-floating ball (usually made of stainless steel, carbon steel, or engineering plastic) resides within the valve cavity.

During forward flow, fluid pressure pushes the ball away, opening the valve.

During reverse flow or zero flow, the ball falls back to the valve seat due to gravity/spring force/back pressure, sealing and shutting off flow.

Standardized dimensions: Orifice diameter (DN), flange spacing, bolt hole spacing, etc. must conform to DIN specifications (e.g., DIN EN 1092-2 flange standard).

Pressure rating: Identified as a PN series (e.g., PN10/16/25/40), representing nominal pressure (unit: bar).

Materials and Testing: The valve body, ball, and seal materials must meet DIN requirements for pressure, temperature, and corrosion resistance and pass the DIN EN 12266-1 sealing and strength tests.

Operating Condition

Fluid Type: Gas/Liquid, Particulate Content (Select springless gravity-operated anti-seizure valve).

Temperature/Pressure: Temperature resistance of the sealing material (NBR ≤ 80°C, EPDM ≤ 120°C, FKM ≤ 180°C).

Flow Direction: For horizontal pipes, select gravity-operated valves; for vertical pipes, select spring-assisted valves.
